Remote Voice AI Trainer – Customer Service (US English)

About the Role

We’re hiring experienced customer service professionals for a speech-to-speech AI training project with a leading AI data company. You’ll hold voice conversations that help train and evaluate AI customer service agents – following scenario guidelines while keeping every conversation natural and realistic.

This role is a good fit if you’ve spent years on the phone with customers and already know how AI training projects work.

Important Notes

Pay: $17/hr USD, paid via Wise

Work Arrangement: 100% remote, US residency not required

Engagement: Independent contractor, hourly

Language: Natural, conversational US English accent

Key Responsibilities

• Hold voice conversations with AI customer service agents based on written scenarios
• Play realistic customer and agent roles across support situations - billing, orders, troubleshooting, complaints
• Follow project guidelines closely while keeping a natural, conversational tone
• Give feedback on AI responses where the task calls for it
• Record in a quiet environment with consistent audio quality

Required Skills & Qualifications

Required:

• 2+ years of customer service experience (call center, BPO, support desk or CRM-based roles)
• 1+ year of AI training experience (Outlier, Remotasks, Appen, TELUS International, DataAnnotation or similar)
• A natural, conversational US English accent
• Clear communication and the ability to follow detailed instructions
• A headset with microphone, a quiet room and a stable internet connection

Nice to have:

• Inbound voice support for US customers
• Experience with CRM or ticketing tools (Salesforce, Zendesk, Freshdesk)
• Previous voice, audio or conversational AI projects
