About the Role

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Python Developer for a long-term remote contract. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Python frameworks, cloud services, and database technologies. This role requires a skilled professional who can handle both front-end and back-end development to deliver robust and scalable applications.

This is a 12+ month engagement with strong potential for extension based on performance and project requirements.

Technologies You’ll Work With

As a Full Stack Python Developer, you’ll leverage a wide range of technologies including Python frameworks (Django/Flask), front-end technologies, cloud services (particularly AWS), and various database systems. You’ll be responsible for developing and maintaining robust, scalable applications that meet business requirements.

Work Arrangement: 100% Remote

Contract Duration: 12+ Months

Experience Required: 11+ years

Visa Requirements: H1B or H4 EAD with PP Number

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop server-side technologies with RESTful APIs using Django/Flask frameworks
• Implement MVC/MVT design patterns for robust application architecture
• Create responsive web applications using Python, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
• Build, test and deploy applications using AWS infrastructure (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, etc.)
• Work with both NoSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra) and relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle)
• Participate in the entire application lifecycle, focusing on coding and debugging
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code
• Troubleshoot and resolve application issues
• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic
• Participate in Agile development processes including sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship as needed

Required Skills & Qualifications

Required Skills:

• 11+ years of professional software development experience
• Strong expertise in implementing server-side technologies with RESTful APIs and MVC/MVT design patterns using Django/Flask frameworks
• Experience with MVW frameworks like Django and jQuery
• Proficiency in developing web-based applications using Python, Django, PHP, XML, CSS, HTML, JavaScript, and RabbitMQ
• Programming skills using Scala and Spark
• Experience in project deployment using Jenkins/Heroku
• Knowledge of web services like Amazon Web Services (AWS) EC2 and S3
• Understanding of Software Configuration Management in Agile, SCRUM, and Waterfall methodologies
• Experience with NoSQL databases like MongoDB and Cassandra
• Experience with relational databases like Oracle, SQLite, PostgreSQL, and MySQL
• Valid H1B or H4 EAD with PP Number

Nice to Have:

• Experience with AWS Glue, Athena, EMR, Redshift, DMS, and Lambda
• Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with microservices architecture
• Background in data engineering or big data processing
